Inspections are based on regulations to eliminate risk factors for illness or injury. Every violation is coded indicating the degree of risk in causing an illness or injury.

  • Critical, Major, or Foodborne Illness Risk Factor Violations: These violations are more likely than other violations to contribute to illness or injury. Inspectors work with operators to make sure that these violations are corrected whenever feasible before they leave the establishment. A re-inspection may be scheduled to verify compliance.
  • Non-Critical, Minor or Good Retail Practice Violations: These violations are not directly related to the cause of illness or injury, but if uncorrected, could negatively affect the operation of the facility, such as maintenance and cleanliness.

Inspector Comments: The table tops in room 501 were not properly cleaned through a wash, rinse, sanitize procedure. The sanitizer in room 502 measured greater than 200 ppm chlorine. Corrective action: The person in charge was educated on the proper table top cleaning procedure. The person in charge diluted the sanitizer in room 502 to read 100 ppm chlorine.

Inspector Comments: Several magnifying glass toys were in disrepair with chipping paint in Preschool classroom 501. A large soft fabric couch in Preschool classroom 501 was visibly soiled and not being laundered at least weekly.

Inspector Comments: A bottle of full strength bleach and a chemical spray bottle containing diapering disinfectant were stored directly above children's toys in Preschool room 503. The diapering disinfectant in Preschool room 503 measured less than 2400 ppm chlorine residual. The diapering disinfectant in Preschool room 501 measured less than 2400 ppm chlorine residual. The tabletops were being sanitized for less than the required one-minute contact time in Preschool room 503.

Inspector Comments: Bottles of soap (Keep Out Of Reach Of Children) were being stored inside a cabinet accessible to children beneath the classroom hand sink in Preschool room 503.
