  • Non-Critical, Minor or Good Retail Practice Violations: These violations are not directly related to the cause of illness or injury, but if uncorrected, could negatively affect the operation of the facility, such as maintenance and cleanliness.

Inspector Comments: The facility was using a disinfectant cleaner/sanitizer solution as a sanitizer for food contact surfaces although the product label states that it is for sanitizing non-food contact surfaces. CORRECTIVE ACTION: Inspector provided guidance that a sanitizer solutions approved for use within child cares.

Inspector Comments: The tables were not sanitized after snack. The sanitizer solution had a concentration greater than 200ppm chlorine. Sanitizer test strips were not available at the facility.

Inspector Comments: Disinfectant spray bottles were unlabeled. Employees stated they were using scented disinfectant wipes on toys and tables. Corrective Action: The disinfectant spray bottles were labeled as disinfectant and intended use. Staff were educated about how to clean toys and table tops.
