Inspectors work with operators to make sure that these violations are corrected whenever feasible before they leave the establishment. A re-inspection may be scheduled to verify compliance.
  • Non-Critical, Minor or Good Retail Practice Violations: These violations are not directly related to the cause of illness or injury, but if uncorrected, could negatively affect the operation of the facility, such as maintenance and cleanliness.

Inspector Comments: 2-201.12 Exclusions & Restrictions (P) An employee with a wound on their finger was allowed to work with food and clean equipment without a second barrier covering the wound. Corrective Action: The manager had the employee don a glove over the bandaged wound.

Inspector Comments: 2-301.14 When to Wash (P) An employee was observed going from handling clean dishes to dirty dishes without washing their hands. An employee was observed cleaning a sink to handling clean dishes without washing their hands. Corrective Action: Hand hygiene was discussed with the manager and the manager had the employee wash their hands.

Inspector Comments: 3-501.16(A)(1) Time/Temperature Control for Safety Food, Hot and Cold Holding (P) Rice hot holding in the rice cooker at the service line was 119-121°F. Corrective Action: The rice was discarded and the rice cooker was plugged in.

Inspector Comments: 2-501.11 Clean-up of Vomiting and Diarrheal Events (Pf) The facility did not have procedures for responding to vomit or fecal incidents that occur within the facility. Corrective Action: A guidance handout was provided and discussed with the manager.

Food contact surfaces; cleaned & sanitized
Inspector Comments: 4-601.11(A) Equipment, Food-Contact Surfaces, Nonfood-Contact Surfaces, and Utensils (Pf) The interior of a some soda gun nozzles at both the customer self-service and service window soda machines were soiled with food residue. The blade of a knife stored at the knife rack by the food preparation sink was soiled with food residue. Corrective Action: The items were moved to be cleaned by the facility.

Inspector Comments: 3-501.16(A)(1) Time/Temperature Control for Safety Food, Hot and Cold Holding (P) Orange Chicken was 123-133°F at the front counter steam table. Corrective Action: The orange chicken was stirred and a new batch was prepared and the temperature was over 160°F at the end of the inspection.
