Inspections are based on regulations to eliminate risk factors for illness or injury. Every violation is coded indicating the degree of risk in causing an illness or injury.

  • Critical, Major, or Foodborne Illness Risk Factor Violations: These violations are more likely than other violations to contribute to illness or injury. Inspectors work with operators to make sure that these violations are corrected whenever feasible before they leave the establishment. A re-inspection may be scheduled to verify compliance.
  • Non-Critical, Minor or Good Retail Practice Violations: These violations are not directly related to the cause of illness or injury, but if uncorrected, could negatively affect the operation of the facility, such as maintenance and cleanliness.

Inspector Comments: A shut off valve was located downstream of the atmospheric cacuum breaker on the mop sink faucet (Priority). Corrective Action: A backflow device was added below the shut off valve.

Door gaskets were torn on the taco reach-in refrigerator, on the reach-in freezer, and on the walk-in refrigerator. The hot plate had a groove around the edge that trapped food making it not smooth and easily cleanable. (Core)

Inspector Comments: Four slices of ham stored within a heated tray on the main food assembly line measured 112°F to 123°F. The manager on duty voluntarily discarded the ham, violation corrected.

Food Temperature Control: Cold hold at 41°f or less
Inspector Comments: A container of commercially portioned milk creamer stored within the low boy cooler located next to the cash register measured 58°F - 62°F. Per the manager, the creamers had been out of temperature control for approximately 3 hours before being moved to the cooler to cool. The inspector noted that the portioned creamers where labeled "Keep Refrigerated". The manager moved the creamers to the walk-in freezer for rapid cooling and discussed time tagging the cream for use or disposal within 4 hours or less moving forward, violation corrected.

Inspector Comments: An excessive fly population was observed within the facility. Re-inspection required.

Inspector Comments: A puppy was observed eating food scraps of the dining room floor of the restaurant. The inspector reviewed with management the required questions an operator must ask to determine if an animal is a service animal as well as unacceptable and acceptable animal behaviors within a food establishment, violation correct through discussion.
