Water Quality: Water Testing Equipment |
Inspector Comments: The Taylor test kit reagents expired in 2020.
|
02a - Critical |
Disinfection: Disinfection Equipment and Point of Application |
Inspector Comments: Chlorine pucks were observed in the west pool skimmer.
|
08a - Non-Critical |
Water Quality; Other: Water Quality; Other |
Inspector Comments: The free available chlorine concentration was 10.8 ppm. The saturation index of the pool water was -0.55. The pool water heater was bypassed, thus the water was not heated and was 69 degrees F.
|
09a - Non-Critical |
Deck Areas: Deck Areas |
Inspector Comments: The three pool skimmers did not have weir gates. The pool walls were missing numerous tiles at the water line.
|
10a - Non-Critical |
Chemicals: Storage and Handling of Chemicals |
Inspector Comments: One container of liquid muriatic acid was stored directly above an open paper bag containing sodium bicarbonate in the chemical storage cabinet. One bag of sodium bicarbonate was stored on the floor in front of the chemical storage cabinet.
|
11a - Non-Critical |
Mechanical Room: Recirculation System, Piping, and Maindrains |
Inspector Comments: The pool had one main drain. The pool circulation pump did not have a vacuum gauge installed upstream from the pump. The pool suction line was not colored yellow. The pool was being filled with a garden hose at the time of inspection, and the establishment did not have a fill spout with air gap or a reduced pressure assembly backflow preventer. The pool circulation pipes did not have a flow meter. There was no emergency pump shutoff switch accessible to bathers.
|
14c - Non-Critical |
Records and Certifications: Chemical Records Maintained |
Inspector Comments: The turnover rate could not be determined and recorded due to the lack of a flow meter. Water chemistry records were not maintained since August 2019.

Inspection, Routine
|
01b - Critical |
Water Quality: Water Testing Equipment |
Inspector Comments: Many of the pool test reagents were expired. There was no pH test indicator present that was not expired.
|
02b - Critical |
Disinfection: Automatic and Continuous Disinfection, Approved |
Inspector Comments: The pool water was not being automatically chlorinated; the automatic chlorinator was disconnected.
|
08a - Non-Critical |
Water Quality; Other: Water Quality; Other |
Inspector Comments: The pool free chlorine concentration was 6.4 ppm. The pool water temperature was 69 degrees F.
|
09a - Non-Critical |
Deck Areas: Deck Areas |
Inspector Comments: The pool deck had depth markers, but they were not of contrasting color and were not clearly visible. The pool skimmers were not provided with weir gates.
|
11a - Non-Critical |
Mechanical Room: Recirculation System, Piping, and Maindrains |
Inspector Comments: The pool suction line was not color coded with yellow for a raw water line. Makeup water was introduced with a hose, and did not have a means to prevent the hose from going into the pool water, thus it was possible to create a cross connection with non-potable water. The pool suction line was not provided with a vacuum gauge installed prior to the pump. The pool had one main drain. There was no emergency pump shutoff switch accessible to bathers.
|
14c - Non-Critical |
Records and Certifications: Chemical Records Maintained |
Inspector Comments: The pH and free chlorine were recorded once per day rather than three times per day. The pools total alkalinity, calcium hardness, temperature, saturation index were not recorded once per day. Cyanuric acid concentration was not recorded once per week.

Inspection, Routine
|
01b - Critical |
Water Quality: Water Testing Equipment |
Inspector Comments: All the test chemicals in the Taylor pool test kit were expired. Corrected on site.
|
08a - Non-Critical |
Water Quality; Other: Water Quality; Other |
Inspector Comments: The pool free chlorine was 8.0 ppm. The pool water temperature was 71 degrees F.
|
09a - Non-Critical |
Deck Areas: Deck Areas |
Inspector Comments: The main pool skimmers were not equipped with weir gates. The wading pool was not equipped with skimmers. The wading pool did not have color contrasting four-inch depth markers on the pool walls or on the pool deck.
|
11a - Non-Critical |
Mechanical Room: Recirculation System, Piping, and Maindrains |
Inspector Comments: The main pool and wading pool suction lines were not colored yellow. The main pool and wading pool each had one main drain. There was no emergency shutdown switch accessible to bathers.
|
14c - Non-Critical |
Records and Certifications: Chemical Records Maintained |
Inspector Comments: The operator recorded free chlorine and pH once per day rather than the required three times per day, and did not record water temperature, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid, saturation index, and flow meter readings on a daily basis.
|
