A health inspection report is a "snapshot" of the day and time of the inspection. On any given day, an establishment could have more or fewer violations than noted here. Inspections are based on regulations to eliminate risk factors for illness or injury. Every violation is coded indicating the degree of risk in causing an illness or injury.

  • Critical, Major, or Foodborne Illness Risk Factor Violations: These violations are more likely than other violations to contribute to illness or injury. Inspectors work with operators to make sure that these violations are corrected whenever feasible before they leave the establishment. A re-inspection may be scheduled to verify compliance.
  • Non-Critical, Minor or Good Retail Practice Violations: These violations are not directly related to the cause of illness or injury, but if uncorrected, could negatively affect the operation of the facility, such as maintenance and cleanliness.

Inspector Comments: The floor level temperature in the Infants room (64°F) and in the Toddlers room (66°F) was less than 68°F.

Inspector Comments: Hot water at the following hand sinks did not range between 90-120°F: Infant room (138°F), all boys bathroom hand sinks (138-139°F), and the two left girls bathroom hand sinks (140°F). Hot and cold water were not available at the portable hand washing sinks in the 3 1/2-4's room and 2 1/2-3's room.

Inspector Comments: The facility's sick log was empty, and the facility was not recording sick staff and sick children who stayed home on days they were sick. The facility did not have a written sick staff policy. Corrective action: The inspector left a sample sick staff policy with the facility and educated on filling out the sick log.

Inspector Comments: Hummus in the kitchen refrigerator was marked with a date (7/30) that exceeded 7 days since opening and was not discarded. A chemical spray bottle of Windex in the kitchen utility closet was not labeled. The kitchen's person in charge did not know temperatures for the safe refrigerated storage, hot-holding, and cooking (raw animal products) of foods. Corrective action: The facility director labeled the chemical bottle and discarded the hummus. The inspector educated the person in charge on the respective temperatures.
