Inspection Information

Inspections are based on regulations that are designed to eliminate risk factors for food borne disease. Each violation of these regulations is listed under the inspection.
Violation Types
Priority (P): The highest risk violations which are directly related to an increased risk of foodborne illness. Examples include improper handwashing, unsafe food temperatures.
Priority foundation (Pf): Violations that can create a high risk (Priority) violation. Examples include lack of soap at a handsink, no calibrated thermometer, no test strips to check sanitizer levels.
Core (C): Lower risk violations. Examples include general maintenance of facility (floors, walls, ceilings).

Correction Requirements: (P) and (Pf) violations must be corrected immediately when possible. Follow-up inspections occur to ensure all of these violations have been resolved if not corrected during the routine inspection. (C) violation corrections are verified at the next routine inspection.

02/07/2024 - ROUTINE INSPECTION
  4-501.11 - CORE
Violation Comments:The seal on the cooler under the self serve coffee area was falling off of the door frame. Equipment must be maintained and in good repair in order to meet manufacturer standards and work as intended. To correct: repair or replace the door seal so that the cooler is not at risk for improperly cooling/cold holding the food.
  3-304.14 - CORE
Violation Comments:At the time of the inspection rags were being used that were only dipped in sanitizer, not submerged in sanitizer, to wipe the milk wands after use. Wiping rags must be stored in sanitizer to prevent the growth of bacteria and the spread of contaminants. To correct: Always store sanitizer cloths fully submerged in sanitizing water.
  4-202.16 - CORE
Violation Comments:The wire shelving inside the milk cooler, under the espresso machine, has chipped paint and rusted wiring exposed. Nonfood contact surfaces must be constructed so that they are smooth and easily cleanable. To correct: replace the wire shelving so that paint chips and rust are not at risk of falling into the milk containers. *Note: this is the 3rd repeat violation, a 4th repeat violation qualifies the facility for a civil citation/ticket of 0.
  5-205.15 - CORE
Violation Comments:The 3-bay sink is leaking from the spout. Plumbing must be maintained in good repair so that it does not spread contaminants or strain the facility's water supply. To correct: repair or replace the 3-bay sink so that it no longer leaks. *Note: this is the 3rd repeat violation, a 4th repeat violation qualifies the facility for a civil citation/ticket of 0.
07/13/2023 - ROUTINE INSPECTION
  3-304.14 - CORE
Violation Comments:Dry rags were being stored in a container to wipe off the espresso wand after use. Wiping rags must be stored in sanitizer to prevent the growth of bacteria or exposure to contaminants. Corrected on site: Wiping rag was put in sanitizer.
  4-202.16 - CORE
Violation Comments:The wire shelving inside the reach-in cooler (beneath the espresso machine) has chipped paint and rusted wire exposed. Nonfood-contact surfaces must be constructed so that they are smooth and easily cleanable. To correct: Replace wire shelving in the reach-in cooler.
  5-205.15 - CORE
Violation Comments:The 3-bay sink has a leak from the spout. Plumbing must be maintained in good repair. A leaking sink could spread contaminants and strain a facility's water capacity. To correct: Repair 3-bay sink so it no longer leaks.
  5-501.114 - CORE
Violation Comments:The dumpster is missing a drain plug. Waste receptacles, like dumpsters, if installed with a drain hole require a plug to prevent the entry of pests and exit of refuse. To correct: Install drain plug in dumpster.

Violation Comments:The 3-bay sink has a leak from the spout. Plumbing must be maintained in good repair. A leaking sink could spread contaminants and strain a facility's water capacity. To correct: Fix 3-bay sink so it no longer leaks.

07/18/2022 - ROUTINE INSPECTION
  5-205.11 - PRIORITY FOUNDATION
Violation Comments:The handsink is being used as a dumpsink in the back room beside the ice machine. There was a thin layer of coffee grounds in the basin of the hand sink. Handsinks must be used for hand washing only. A handsink used for food preparation or for dumping can become a possible source of contamination to employees washing their hands. Corrected on site: Person in charge retrained staff on using approved dump sink and only using handsink for hand washing.
  5-501.114 - CORE
Violation Comments:The dumpster does not have a drain plug for the drain hole. Refuse receptacles, like dumpsters, require a plug to keep the drain hole closed. An open hole allows the entry of pests and the exit of refuse. To correct: Install a drain plug in the dumpster. This is the second time this violation has been cited. If the violation is cited at four consecutive routine inspections the facility will be fined.
