Inspection Violations

Food Facilities: Risk Factor violations are those which, if not corrected, are likely to lead to an illness. Sanitarians work with the operators to assure that red violations have been corrected before leaving the facility. These violations can also result in follow up inspections.

Good Retail Practices violations Are related to the maintenance and cleanliness of the establishment and can lead to the development of Risk Factor violations.

Pool Facilities
Critical violations are those which, if not corrected, may result in pool closure.

Other Facilities
ARM violations are violations of the Administrative Rules of Montana. These are violations for all programs other than retail or manufactured food. Sanitarians work with facilities to correct these violations as soon as possible

Facilities who fail to correct violations within time limits given may incur regulatory action, such as follow up inspections and penalties.

37.111.1209 WASTEWATER TREATMENT REQUIREMENTS (3)(d) Sewer risers are not securely plugged or capped when not in use. The sewer riser on lot #16 was not properly capped. Sewer risers must be securely plugged or capped when not in use to prevent debris from entering the system. ACTION: Install a proper cap on lot #16's sewer riser.

37.111.1218 SOLID WASTE REQUIREMENTS (1) Storage, collection, and/or disposal of solid waste is causing a health hazard, rodent harborage, insect breeding areas, accident or fire hazards, and/or air pollution. Piles of refuse was noted by units #4, #19, and #26. Refuse must be disposed of or properly stored to prevent health hazards, rodent harborage, insect breeding areas, accidental fire hazards, and/or air pollution. ACTION: Remove the refused by units 4, 19, and 26.

37.111.1203 GENERAL OPERATING REQUIREMENTS (4) Designated sites or mobile home spaces are not clearly marked and numbered on a sign at each site or on the mobile home. Lot #24 was not clearly marked. Designated sites or mobile home spaces must be clearly marked and numbered on a sign at each site or on the mobile home. ACTION: Ensure #24 is properly marked.
